I was born in Okinawa, Japan, into an Army family. I spent the majority of my childhood traveling from Japan, to Germany, Virginia, Massachusettes, Texas, and even Japan again. I ended up in Texas because my father retired here to be close to his, and my mother's family.

I have been living in Austin since 1993. I love this place and can't imagine living anywhere else. There's no place like Austin; no place as beautiful, relaxed, and cultured as it is here. The weather may be sporadic, but it's worth it!

I most enjoy the various cultures and flavors of Austin. My interests are always changing and evolving because of this. I spent four years dancing with the University of Texas Ballet Folklorico (El Grupo de Danza y Arte Folklorico de la Universidad de Tejas), and fell in love with the Mexican culture and music. I have since become extremely interested in County Music and dancing.

I love dance and I try to get out and do it whenever I can. Since being in Austin I have learned to 2-step, triple-step, waltz, shuffle, line dance, salsa, merengue, cumbia, tejano, polka, and a tiny bit of very basic swing. My favorite is the Waltz; I love a good super fast waltz.

I've spent the majority of my employed years working in Customer Service and Technical support, and spent 10 of those years with 3M. There was a brief stint of 2 years when I tried the Printing and Mailing industry, and decided it was not for me.

After 7 years of Customer Service / Technical Support work with 3M, I decided to try something new and took this position with Austin REAL Pros, and so far it is making me very happy.
